Saudi Arabia is renowned worldwide for its abundant oil reserves. The nation is home to a wealthy population; however, even this affluent country faces certain challenges. With vast deserts covering most of Saudi Arabia, constructing highways across such terrain is inherently a formidable task. Once the roads are completed, installing streetlights to ensure traffic safety becomes another critical mission.

This road construction project, implemented by Saudi Aramco, serves as a primary transportation artery to nearby oil fields. With hundreds of tanker trucks traversing the route daily, the client required 120-watt split-type solar streetlights, mounted on 9-meter-high poles, to be installed along both sides of the road.

Located in a desert region, the project site experiences year-round high temperatures and frequent sandstorms, presenting significant design challenges for our engineering team. Excessive dust accumulation on solar panels can severely reduce charging efficiency and may even cause short circuits. To address these challenges, the team engaged in extensive discussions with the client and ultimately decided to elevate the lamp posts to 10 meters and incorporate adjustable mounting brackets. This design allows precise adjustment of the installation angle based on site conditions, maximizing solar panel charging efficiency while facilitating dust removal. As a result, the system ensures stable nighttime illumination under extreme heat and harsh environmental conditions, providing safety for passing tanker trucks.

After three months of production and transportation, the client successfully completed the installation of this batch of 10-meter-high, 120-watt split-type solar streetlights.
